LaFe stands for Latino Fellowship. We are an InterVarsity Christian Fellowhip ministry to Latino/a students on campus, across the US. We are una comunidad that welcomes Catholics, Evangelicals, and anyone who just wants to know more about and/or deepen their relationship with God. We meet often for discussing the Bible, celebrating, food, and fun! LaFe is committed to developing Latino leaders who serve the campus community with the love of Jesus Christ as they explore God, faith, and the experiences of our people. We do this by providing students a place for Spiritual Growth, Community, Service, and Familia.

Events
We meet every Tuesday, 7pm @ the MCC TV Lounge, to discuss what the Bible has to say to us, and how to apply it to our lives. No need to have prior knowledge of the Bible; this is a place to ask questions and learn and grow together.
We hold conferences, as well as Missions’ trips during the year. Below are some events you do not want to miss!
Encuentro 2012
Dates: November 9-11
Cost: TBA, but it’s usually very cheap

Join us for our 5th annual LaFe Retreat! This is a time for all Latino students from the surrounding areas of Chicago to come together and have some fellowship time, encouraging one another, while receiving some quality teaching. During these two days, we will have worship, teachings that will help you grow in your faith, plus good food and games!
Winterfest 2013
Dates: Februrary
Every winter, hundreds of students from around northern Illinois and northwest Indiana gather together to be challenged and stretched in their faith. At Winterfest, students participate in one of several tracks to focus on specific areas of growth. Campus fellowships have times together to pray and share. The entire conference gathers together for whole group worship and prayer.
As people gather from different types of schools and backgrounds, we receive the blessings that a broader and more diverse Christian community can offer. Whether you have never believed in God or you have been in a spiritual journey with Jesus for years… there is something in store for you at Winterfest!

Mini-Encuentro 2013

Every spring, Latino students from InterVarsity groups around Chicago gather in one location for a day of fellowship, teaching, worship and games. We do this to hear what is going on in LaFe at other campuses, encourage one another across schools and simply to have fun with each other!
Chapter Focus Week
Dates: June 15-21, 2013
Chapter FOCUS Week is a time to join others from your chapter for leadership training, Christian growth, and vision forming. Together you’ll be better equipped to grow in your relationship with God and to engage your friends and campus with the gospel of Jesus.
Each day you’ll spend time in the training track you have chosen, work and play with friends, worship, and hear excellent Bible teaching.
